Crisis and Resilience Fund - Housing Payments

From 1 April 2026, Discretionary Housing Payments (DHPs) will be replaced by the new Housing Payment (part of the Crisis and Resilience Fund – CRF).
Mid-Devon is currently updating its policies and online forms to reflect this change. Any DHP applications submitted before 1 April 2026 will automatically be treated as Housing Payment applications from that date. You do not need to reapply. They will assess these applications using the rules of the new Housing Payment scheme to ensure support continues without disruption. Digital Phone switch

By January 2027, the UK's old copper phone network will be switched off, area by area. For older or vulnerable residents, particularly those with telecare alarms or no mobile phone, it can be confusing and potentially risky if they're not prepared in time.
